ELIGIBILITY TO BECOME A MEMBER

Membership under ‘Seed Companies Category’

Any Seed entity engaged either in Research, Production, Processing and Marketing of Seed and having a valid Seed License issued by Department of Agriculture either in the State of Andhra Pradesh or in the State of Telangana are eligible to seek Membership of Seedsmen Association under ‘Seed Companies Category”.

Membership under ‘Associate Member Category’

Entities who are engaged in ancillary industries associated with seed production, processing, machinery, testing equipment, packaging material & cold storage are eligible to seek Membership of Seedsmen association under “Associate Members Category”.

Membership under ‘Association Member Category’

Any Association Registered Under Societies Act (or) Registered Under Section 25 of Corporate Act (or) under any similar act with sound functioning are eligible to seek Membership under   “Association Member Category”.

Any Association representing Seed Industry (or) any other related industry (or) representing any commerce body are also eligible to seek Membership under “Association Member Category”.

Membership Benefits:

  1. Being a member of this prestigious association, the Member Company would get a better recognition and visibility among the stakeholders of the seed industry.
  2. Member Seed Companies can voice their views and concerns through Seedsmen Association to various government and non-government agencies who affect the activities of the seed companies.
  3. Easy to reach various Government Bodies like Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Universities etc., through Seedsmen Association.
  4. Seedsmen Association is well recognised nodal agency between Industry and various government agencies.
  5. Various government agencies / bodies disseminate various important and critical circulars/guidelines/notifications/instructions through Seedsmen Association.

Procedure to Become a Member:

  1. Any eligible entity can apply for membership under appropriate category, in the prescribed application form along with all the required support documents and along with the prescribed fee.
  2. The duly filled in application form with a recommendation from the present member of the Executive Committee has to be submitted at the Office of the Seedsmen Association.
  3. After successful scrutiny, the applications are forwarded to Secretary of the Association for approval.
  4. On behalf of the Executive Committee, the Secretary of the Association will approve the membership.
  5. Once approved the applicant would receive the Membership Certificate.

Renewal of Membership:

  1. Due Period for payment of Annual Membership Fee is from 1st April to 30th April of Every Year, the Membership Fee has to be paid by on or before 30th April, Every Year.
  2. The grace period for payment of Membership Fee will end by 30th June Every Year.
  3. The Membership Fee received after the grace period will attract an interest @12% per annum on the due amount from 1st July onwards. However, for smooth functioning of the association Members Companies are requested to make the payment in the month of April Every Year.
  4. The period from July to March of the Financial Year will be considered as Notice Period.
  5. The Members who are in Arrears of Payment of Membership Fee will Cease to be Member of the Association with effect from 1st April of Subsequent Year and the Management would have only option of removing such Members from the Membership Register of the Association.
